The Lucy DeLuis Memorial Award

Many of you may remember the story of beautiful Lucy DeLuis, who tragically passed away from influenza in Western Australia last year when she was just 2 years old.

Lucy's parents have bravely shared her story with the world in the hopes that more families will understand the seriousness of influenza and the importance of vaccinating.

Every year, 5-10 Australian children die from influenza, and is currently the most common vaccine-preventable death. But we CAN change this!

THE LUCY DELUIS MEMORIAL AWARD

The Immunisation Foundation of Australia are pleased to announce an award of $1000 in honour of Lucy DeLuis, given to the most outstanding image of someone being vaccinated during this flu season. The image can be of an adult or child, and can be during the immunisation process or shortly afterwards.

Hint: Our judging panel will be looking for images that portray immunisation in a positive, realisitic or humorous light.
